Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 2026-06-20. This policy applies to every account, listing, message, review, and payment on Rip&List. Violations can result in listing removal, account suspension, or a permanent ban with no refund of paid fees or storefront subscriptions.

1. Allowed listings

• Authentic sports trading cards — singles, lots, sealed wax.
• Graded slabs from PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, or HGA, with a real serial number.
• Pre-orders for upcoming releases only if you actually have allocation.

2. Prohibited listings

• Counterfeit, reprinted, recolored, "custom-made", or altered cards sold as authentic.
• Stolen goods. We cooperate with law enforcement on serialized cards reported stolen.
• Drugs, weapons, adult content, hate-group memorabilia, ivory, ammunition, or anything illegal in either the buyer's or seller's jurisdiction.
• Tickets, raffles, lotteries, or any "blind bag" product where the buyer doesn't know what they're getting.
• Cards depicting an athlete who has explicitly demanded the imagery be removed (we honor takedown requests within 48 hours).
• Anything our payment processor (Stripe) prohibits.

3. Listing accuracy

• Photos must be of your actual card. Stock photos or photos lifted from other listings are not allowed. We run perceptual-hash checks; matches across sellers flag the listing for moderator review.
• Condition grades (NM / EX / PSA 10 etc.) must reflect the card honestly.
• If a slab is cracked, the label is missing, or the cert has been altered, disclose it in the description.
• Don't duplicate a single card across multiple listings to game search.

4. Pricing

• Shill bidding (bidding on your own auctions to drive prices up) is grounds for immediate ban.
• Don't coordinate with other sellers to fix prices.
• Reserve prices are allowed; "private" auctions where bid amounts are hidden are not.

5. Communications

• Be civil in messages, reviews, and forum posts. Harassment, slurs, and threats result in account termination.
• Don't try to take transactions off-platform to dodge fees. We watch for this and ban both sides.
• Don't send unsolicited promotional messages to buyers you didn't transact with.

6. Payments and chargebacks

• Sellers must ship within 5 business days of payment unless the listing explicitly says otherwise.
• Buyers must use the dispute system before filing a chargeback. Chargebacks filed without a prior dispute will be contested by us.
• Repeated chargeback abuse from a buyer results in account suspension.

7. Accounts

• One person, one account. Operating multiple accounts to bypass bans, game leaderboards, or shill auctions is a permanent ban.
• You must be 18+ to register.
• Don't share login credentials. Account activity is your responsibility.

8. APIs and scraping

• The public API at /api/public/v1/* may be polled at a reasonable rate (under 60 requests/minute per IP). Bulk scraping the authenticated site is not allowed.
• Don't reverse-engineer the scanner, the matcher, or the pricing model.

9. Reporting violations

Report bad listings, fraud, or harassment via support or DMCA takedown for copyright issues. We investigate every report within 48 hours.

10. Enforcement

We use automated flags (multi-account detection, dup-photo detection, velocity rules) plus manual review. Bans are at our discretion; there is an appeal process via the support center.
